Testimonials
“The social skills group was a part of where my son is today, certainly helped with his confidence ( he is now working on his admission application for college next year). For that we are always grateful for what the group has provided, so thank you.”
“The Swim Program has been a great opportunity for Sam to learn and practice his swimming skills in a comfortable, relaxed environment. Sam's instructor really understands Sam's unique needs and has been patient, calm, and encouraging to our family. It is really special for us to have our son in a program that combines learning such an important life skill with a truly inclusive and accepting environment. ”
“The Inclusion multisport program at SRC allows my son to build his sports skills in a fun and supportive setting under the guidance of an instructor who is caring and really knows how to motivate him. I'm so grateful he has this opportunity to explore sports and connect with other kids in a way that suits his needs.”
“My son was reluctant to join the Art & Creative Club at first, but his apprehension vanished after the first day. The instructor is fantastic, she really engages them and gently pushes their boundaries at the same time. She connects the art to something they love, for example song lyrics, and creates a comfort zone by doing so. Alex is so very proud of the work he's created, some of which is hanging on our walls. I strongly feel this class has helped Alex gain self-confidence and helped him become more outspoken. I highly recommend it.”
“My son has had a fantastic experience in the Multi-Sport Program at the JCC. The inclusion programs offered are amazing, everyone from the staff to the volunteers are so caring and genuinely engaged with our son. He looks forward to weekly programs and is so excited and energized to take part. This is one of the many reasons why are we proud to be members at the JCC and take advantage of the many programming opportunities available for our son to meet his needs. We are delighted that our son is comfortable and willing to participate with such enthusiasm, it is a testament to the JCC's staff and their ability to make it a comfortable and stimulating environment.”
