Shevet Hermon, the local Israeli Scouts chapter, was founded in 2004 by parents and youth volunteering in the Israeli community in Toronto.
The local Tzofim organization offers Interactive Scouting activities of Jewish Israeli flavour for children and youth of the Canadian Jewish Hebrew speaking Community. By enhancing a youth’s sense of belonging to the Jewish and general community, our young people become actively involved in the community and prepare to become the future leaders of our community.
All activities are held in the Hebrew language and are conducted solely by the Scouts Youth Leaders and counsellors.
The Tzofim Israeli Scouts consists of the younger group, Grades 4 to 9 and the older youth volunteers from grades 10 to 12 who receive community volunteer hours.
Tzofim Goals
Enrichment of young people’s knowledge of Israel’s history, culture and language through fun and games.
